King's Club Update May 2020
The Government has recently announced its road map towards the easing of restrictions and the re-opening of services within the leisure industry. They have indicated that health clubs are likely to re-open sometime in July, however this is dependant on the transmission rate of the virus at the time.
In the meantime, The King's Club is working closely with Swim England, King's College School and other multi-facility health clubs to design a framework of operating procedures, in order to ensure our facilities comply with all the new requirements. We will conduct a comprehensive risk assessment on all areas of the club so that our members can once again enjoy our facilities with peace of mind.
We will communicate these new measures to our members via email, on our website and internally within the club. Each measure will be designed to ensure that the King's Club is safe, clean and ready for your enjoyment.

What has happened to my membership?
All membership subscriptions have been frozen and the club is not taking any payments until we re-open.
What is the status of my annual pre-paid 12 month membership?
Your pre-paid 12 month annual membership has been frozen. Upon re-opening the club, we will extend the end date of your membership by the period the club has been closed.
Do I have to cancel my direct debit payments?
No, the club froze all direct debit payments prior to closing. The club will reactivate direct debits when we reopen. This will be communicated to our members in advance. If a member cancels their direct debit membership, they will be subject to a re-joining fee and waiting list when we re-open.
I pre-paid for a swimming course for my child prior to the club closing. How will the club reimburse me for this?
The plan is for the club to issue credits for all missed sessions. Members will be able to use these credits on the next course.
I have pre-paid for tennis lessons and PT sessions. How can I be reimbursed for missed sessions?
Members are kindly asked to contact their tennis coach or personal trainer who will assist them accordingly.
How will I know when the club is planning to re-open?
We will update all members via email and our club website.
Will you still be running weekly exercise classes when you re-open?
We aim to resume all of our classes providing they are safe and comply with the appropriate social distancing rules at the time of re-opening the club. Some classes may have to be placed into larger areas, such as the sports halls.
Are you still accepting new members?
Even during these challenging times we continue to receive enquiries from perspective members. We are placing all new membership applications on a waiting list, which we will review upon opening the club. All current members will be given priority on exercise classes and courses.
